SANCTIFICATION

Daily Scripture: 2 Chronicles 18: 26-27: “Thus says the king: “Put this fellow in prison, and feed him with the bread of affliction and water of affliction, until I return in peace.” But Micaiah said, “If you ever return in peace, the Lord has not spoken by me.” And he said, “Take heed, all you people!”

  • Even in the face of death, Micaiah stood by God’s truth. What is your prophecy based on?
  • Jehoshaphat, King of Judah was asked by King Ahab of Israel to go to war with him at Ramoth Gilead. On his request, Ahab called a multitude of prophets but Jehoshaphat rejected their counsel asking for a true prophet.
  • Just like today where many who bear big titles but do not even know the supremacy of God. Micaiah’s reputation was as one who only spoke from God.
  • Indeed, he gave a word King Ahab did not want to hear but it proved true. He tried to hide from the truth but was still killed randomly in battle even after he disguised himself.
  • Micaiah even boldly challenged his last instructions that he be imprisoned till King Ahab returned peacefully. Eventually, he was proved right as King Ahab never returned alive.
  • Micaiah was known for the truth. He was known as a real unadulterated prophet. He spoke God’s word irrespective of man’s opinion.
  • Are you such a prophet? As you serve God can he vouch for you? Do others see Jesus in you?

Good morning, Sanctified.
