TURNAROUND

Daily Scripture: Daniel 5: 18, 20, 22: “O king, the Most-High God gave Nebuchadnezzar your father a kingdom and majesty, glory and honor… but when his heart was lifted, and his spirit was hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him… “But you, his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, although you knew all this.”

  • If you hear God’s voice, do not harden your heart.
  • King Nebuchadnezzar had it all; fame, glory, respect, honor and the majesty of his kingdom. Yet, he got proud and took it for granted. God humbled him, taking him through a difficult place. He lost his throne and glory.
  • One would think his son would learn from that but he did not.  He did exactly like his father and hardened his heart so God removed him as King.
  • We have many such men in our country. Men who let pride enter them and harden their heart. God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.
  • Many great men will fall. Their proud sons will also fall. God will not change his standards. Today as we celebrate as a nation, we pray that God will resist pride in Nigeria and give grace to humility for excellence.
  • Let there be a turning around for our good. Let the oppression of proud men come to a sudden but certain end. Let peace reign in progress.
  • Happy Independence and happy new month.

Good morning, Redeemed
