UPRIGHT

Daily Scripture: Jeremiah 7: 8-11: “Behold, you trust in lying words that cannot profit. Will you steal, murder, commit adultery, swear falsely, burn incense to Baal, and walk after other gods whom you do not know, and then come and stand before me in this house which is called by my name, and say, ‘We are delivered to do all these abominations? Has this house, which is called by my name, become a den of thieves in your eyes? Behold, I, even I, have seen it,” says the Lord.”

  • God cannot be deceived or mocked. The propensity of humans to cut corners and take advantage of everything, leads many to think they can get away with things.
  • The fact that judgment is not always instant, lends impetus to evil practices and actions that defy the word of God. So-called godly men commit willful sins, oppressing others, and acting like they are above the law.
  • Yes, the law of life in Christ Jesus sets you free from the law of sin and death. That is only if you keep God’s laws in your heart to guide you from sin.
  • It is one thing to err or fall into temptation but, it is a completely different thing to make sin the rule rather than the exception. God loves sinners but he hates sin. If you love God, do his will.
  • No matter how many times you fail or fall, do not stay down. The righteous man falls seven times but gets up. It is time to get up and get going. Receive strength.

Good morning, Upright.
