Daily Scripture: Psalm 61: 1-4: “Hear my cry, O God; attend to my prayer. From the end of the earth, I will cry to you when my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For you have been a shelter for me, a strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of your wings. Selah.”

  • God is your rock and shelter. He will keep you safe from the scourge of the enemy.
  • If you have ever lost hope and felt helpless, you will understand this prayer. Those times when it feels like your heart has failed you, the yoke is too heavy and the burden you bear weighs you down. Life feels like it has come to a standstill. Almost to a total stop.
  • As long you have breath in you, it is not over. As long as God lives, there is hope. The Lord will lead you to the rock that is higher than high; the rock of your salvation. The rock upon which the kingdom of God is built.
  • The Lord has indeed been your shelter and safe haven. He has kept you safe even when you were not aware of the danger around you. He fought and won the war even before the battle commenced. He is your security.
  • Dwell and abide in his tabernacle, that you may trust in the shelter of his wings. He shall cover you with his feathers and under his wings, you will take refuge.
  • Do not be afraid, do not despair and do not give up. Be restored. Receive your peace back. God has heard your cry. He has you covered.

Good morning, Secured.
