REPENTANCE

Daily Scripture: Micah 5: 10-13: “And it shall be in that day,” says the Lord, “That I will cut off your horses from your midst and destroy your chariots. I will cut off the cities of your land and throw down all your strongholds. I will cut off sorceries from your hand, and you shall have no soothsayers. Your carved images I will also cut off, and your sacred pillars from your midst; you shall no more worship the work of your hands;”

Your help is in the name of the lord.
What will happen to you if God truly removes all other power sources and centers, forcing you to depend on him alone?
Many have perfected the art of spiritual prostitution. They are in church on Sunday and the rest of the week, they are in the shrine consulting.
Impatience and ungodly hearts make men weak in trusting God solely. Today, we come before God in repentance for idolatry, every sin of the heart and act of faithlessness.
Lord, forgive your children. We will trust in only you and lean on only you, not even on ourselves.
Some trust in chariots and some in horses. Their trust fails them and they are brought down flat. We that trust you Lord, are risen and stand upright.
You are risen, you stand and nothing shall harm you.
