PERSEVERANCE

Daily Scripture: Joel 2: 7-9,11: “They run like mighty men, they climb the wall like men of war; every one marches in formation, and they do not break ranks. They do not push one another; everyone marches in his column. Though they lunge between the weapons, they are not cut down… The Lord gives voice before his army, for his camp is very great; for strong is the one who executed his word. For the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; who can endure it?”

  • This is indeed a war. Step up, soldier.
  • We are soldiers on a heavenly mission and the Lord of Hosts is our Commander in Chief. The Lord of the Angel Armies. What the enemy meant for evil, God allowed for your good.
  • That problem was not to kill or destroy you but to push you to the next level. Like a true warrior, military training is no stroll in the park. Many die from the stress of the training itself, especially amongst the recruits.
  • The race is not for the swiftest nor the battle for the strongest but those that know their God shall be strong and do great exploits. You are strong, you will do great exploits.
  • The difference is in the knowing. The measure of God you know, is what you will operate in and express. You can only give what you have received. It is beyond salvation.
  • It is going a step further to seek and find him so that you may know him and the power of his might. A personal quest is driven by a strong desire to be all that Christ is.
  • That knowledge is what will sustain you in the battle, to enforce the victory you received as a mandate from Christ our victorious savior.
  • Do not waste time crying or being depressed. Get up, clean up, chin up and buckle up. Then get back into line as a soldier. If you feel like you are going through hell, just begin to praise God. With a loud voice let us rejoice and sing praises.
  • There must be something worthy of praise, so praise your way through that hell and give the devil some heavenly heat. Let him see that your God is indeed a consuming fire. Next time, he will think twice about making you go through hell.
  • Hell is not your destination but, it may be a thoroughfare to firm you up and remove fear. For even if you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, you will fear no evil for God is with you, comforting you with his rod and staff.
  • Hell cannot stand your praise. They will even push you out fast because praise commands a presence. Stop that devil today, create an atmosphere of praise and get your praise on. Presence matters.
