PERSEVERANCE

Daily Scripture: Habakkuk 3: 17-19: “Though the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines; though the labor of the olive may fail, and the fields yield no food; though the flock may be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls- yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The Lord is my strength; He will make my feet like deer’s feet, and He will make me walk on my high hills.”

  • Can you praise God when all else fails? Praise ye the Lord.
  • The picture painted above may seem abstract so, let us use one we can relate with. The marriage plans failed yet you praise God. That contract you have been expecting fell through at the last minute but you cannot stop thanking God.
  • Years of attempting that exam with hope for success yet, another failure. The house rent is due and the landlord has come to throw you out but the praises do not stop. Nowhere to get school fees, the children are crying but yet you praise.
  • They lied against you, telling stories and making a case to hang you but your praise rings. People laugh and mock your stupidity, telling you to face reality yet, you praise.
  • Just imagine that. No matter what happens, can you hold on to your praise? The Lord dwells in his praises.
  • The man who keeps his praise on, even when things fall apart, keeps God in the equation and the destiny changer is always at work. God will honor your strong faith.

Good morning, Persevering.
