VICTORY

Daily Scripture: Joshua 10: 10-11: “So the Lord routed them before Israel, killed them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, chased them along the road that goes to Beth Horon, and struck them down as far as Azekah and Makkedah. And it happened, as they fled before Israel and were on the descent of Beth Horon, that the Lord cast down large hailstones from heaven on them as far as Azekah, and they died. They were more who died from the hailstones than the children of Israel killed with the sword.”

When God speaks, he performs! The five Kings of the Amorites ganged up against the men of Gibeon for submitting to Joshua. They cried to Joshua for help and he came in the name of God.
As they came for war it was Joshua and his God they met, not what they expected.
God dealt with them. He promised Joshua that none of them would stand before his people and God meant business.
First, he routed them before Israel then killed them with a great slaughter. Again, he chased them and struck them down. One can only imagine the fear and chaos to be struck and chased by God.
Finally, he rained down large hailstones and killed even more than the children of Israel killed. Now with that picture in your mind, report the enemies who threaten God’s will and authority to him.
Just as he answered Joshua, he will answer you and utterly defeat all those who rise against you because of him. God is your defense. Fear not.
