GUIDANCE

Daily Scripture: Psalm 23: 1-3: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.”

  • The Lord is your shepherd you shall not be in lack.
  • If the Lord God is your Shepherd, you can never be left in want. He will lead you to places of peace to restore you, taking you through paths of righteousness for the glory of his name. You will not want or lack anything good.
  • One very important function of the Shepherd is Sheep Shearing. This involves shaving off the wool on the sheep to keep it healthy.
  • A sheep/lamb can die if left without shearing due to the weight of the wool and obstruction to feeding. Baby lambs also can die of cold if sheared in winter so the process is deliberate and well planned for the health of the sheep.
  • God needs to shear us regularly to shave away things that are affecting our spiritual well-being. He is your shepherd but are you his sheep?
  • Do you allow your shepherd to care for you? To shear and groom you properly? Do you look like the sheep of your shepherd? Do not just quote Psalm 23 routinely.
  • Ensure today that the Lord is indeed your shepherd for then you can boast in his sustenance.

Good morning, Shepherded.
