Oh, that we may see such power in our days. God’s prophets can do and undo with God backing them up.
Elisha and his servant were under siege, the Syrians had surrounded them on the King’s orders for speaking God’s truth. Fear was palpable and his servant was afraid.
Elisha asked God to open his eyes so he could see. See, so he could believe. Believe to fight fear and instill faith. His eyes were open and he saw a multitude of divine warriors ready to fight for them.
May your eyes be open so you may see the greatness of God’s power in your life. God will fight and deliver you from unwarranted persecution.
As the Syrians reached them again, Elisha prayed that the Lord should strike them with blindness and the Lord honored his word.
Father, open the eyes of those that need to see and blind those whose sight is a threat to your will in the lives of your people.
Father, whenever they come against your people for righteousness’ sake, answer them in your fury O Lord.
