SALVATION

Daily Scripture: Psalm 107: 10-14: “Those who sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, bound in affliction and irons- because they rebelled against the words of God and despised the counsel of the Most-High, therefore He brought down their hearts with labor; they fell down, and there was none to help. Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses. He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their chains in pieces.”

  • Many today are bound by difficulties. Troubles and travails that seem unending. The wages of sin is death. Sometimes, you do not die physically but you die in many little ways that collectively make you feel like life is not worth it.
  • It feels like you are sitting in darkness. No progress, no new opportunities. Like your light has gone off. You feel the chains of poverty and failure around you binding you down. After years in that condition, you accept your lot.
  • Rebellion against God can keep you bound and limited. You despise His counsel and ridicule His words. Yes, He allowed you to be brought down not to abandon you but to redeem and rebuild you but to strip you of ungodly foundations and rebuild you for His glory.
  • As you cry to God in that situation, He is saving you. He will bring you out of that darkness. No more fear of death or failure, no more fear of bondage for God has broken your chains.
  • You are free indeed. Nigeria, you are dependent only on God.

Good morning, Salvaged.
