INTEGRITY

Daily Scripture: Psalm 41: 9-12: “Even my familiar friend in whom I trusted, who ate my bread, has lifted his heel against me. But you, O Lord, be merciful to me and raise me, that I may repay them. By this, I know that you are well pleased with me because my enemy does not triumph over me. As for me, you uphold me in my integrity, and set me before your face forever.”

  • The arm of flesh will fail you but God’s love is forever.
  • The quality of friendship we see today can easily pass as enmity. Double-sided. Many simply do not know what it takes to be a friend. Many are so lonely and desperate for companionship they accept anything in the name of friendship.
  • It is the same persons you drew close to, shared your story, and gave access to your life that are most likely to lead the betrayal squad like Judas. Trust no one except God.
  • Put your trust in God for he never fails. When you need your friends the most, that is when they hang you out to dry, most likely to please others whose company they crave even more.
  • It is really painful when those who have eaten your food now antagonize you. No matter how you search yourself, you cannot determine why they turned against you. Stop blaming yourself. That is who they are.
  • God is your best and only reliable friend. When they all abandon you, it is God that raises you again and again for He is indeed your glory and lifter of your head. God has vindicated you.

Good morning, Secured.
